There is a big custom guitar culture in southern Spain that revolves around their classical and flamenco guitars. Customizing electric guitars is not a big thing in Southern Spain but custom built Spanish guitars can be found on many streets in southern Spain. If you are a guitar player you should consider southern Spain vacations for a good place to go see a different side of guitar playing.

The custom guitars in Spain are built by independent guitar masters who craft the all wooden acoustic guitars by hand in their street side shops. On most days you will see them customizing and building their guitars and maybe see a great guitar player in there talking to them. You can also buy non-hand made guitars that are not as expensive and built in a factory. These are not custom guitars but they are higher quality than most of the classical guitars you will find in the US.

A good way to visit southern Spain to see their custom guitar makers is to look into Spain villa rentals. It would be nice to spend a few days exploring the various custom guitar makers shops and see some flamenco guitar performances. Customizing guitars is great but it is also good to see some custom guitars that are made completely by hand.
