Pictured above are some extravagant wooden ones that would work nicely on many more natural looking guitars, but some people might want something a little more understated.
The good news is that there are essentially an unlimited number of different options. Everyone should be able to find just the type of tone or volume knob they are looking for. Not only do they come in all varieties of wood, they're also made out of different plastics and metals. Finding the one that works well on your guitar can go a long way towards improving the overall match of your instrument aesthetics.
The best reason to look into this type of guitar mod though, is how easy these knobs are to install. In most cases, you should be able to do it yourself. The old ones should come off with a careful pull or pry, and the new ones are simply pressed on in their place, provided they are designed the same on the inside, which they should be.
Most of the replacement knobs you can get for guitar modding and customization are relatively cheap, making this really one of the best mods you can find.
