Guitar mods can help in music production of all types, though it may not seem like it at first. Obviously, if you guitar is modded so that it plays better, this will help, but what about purely superficial mods? These will help too.

It's important to note that when you feel better about the guitar you are playing, you will tend to play better and write better music. When you are a composer or producer, it is important to have the best tool possible, and this means doing what you can to improve your guitar, and guitar mods are the way to do that.

Customizing your guitar helps your mental state when playing it. You want to be working with your instrument, not against it, and this means that it should appeal to you aesthetically as well. Someone I know who runs a music production service has been a great example of this for me. They have made sure that all of their instrument perform as well as possible with simple mods, and they did not have to spend a lot of money because they modded their guitars instead of buying name brand ones.
